Mu Mutian 穆木天

Mu Mutian (original name Mu Jingxi) (1900-1971), was born in Yitong 伊通 county, Fengtian 奉天Province. He was a member of the 创造社 (Chuangzao shi, Creation Society). In 1923, he entered Tokyo Imperial University to study French literature.  At first, he mainly composed poetry, and later he mainly translated the works of Honoré de Balzac and André Gide. He wrote 《法国文学史》(History of French Literature)(1935)
